Carolina Moon Distillery is Edgefield County's only artisan distillery. Spirits are produced here by hand and in small batches. Carolina Moon is a Certified SC distillery and offers a tasting room, gift shop and tours. The tasting room is open every Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 am-5:00 pm, Closed on Sunday and Monday. The D. A. Tompkins Memorial Library is the official visitors center of Edgefield and is operated by the Edgefield Civic League. The library averages about 2,000 visitors a year from around 40 states and several foreign countries. The Welcome Center provides information about businesses, services, and activities in Edgefield as well as public restrooms. The Center also offers information on our unique history, including history displays and timelines plus artifacts.
