Join ECDA, the Edgefield Chamber of Commerce, and the Edgefield Civic League in the Grand Opening of the Village Blacksmith! On Saturday, March 25th, from 10:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m., there will be a host of acitivites to welcome the new blacksmith to Edgefield. Blacksmith "Pirate" Jake Jacobsen and his wife, Amy, will be forging and milling ironworks at the blacksmith shop, which is located at 206 Jeter Street, Edgefield. There will also be vendors and artists displaying their wares in booths on Jeter Street. While in town, visit the House Next Door Antiques on Jeter Street. Additionally, the Farmer's Market will be in full swing on the Courthouse Square and the Edgefield Civic League is sponsoring a Soup Luncheon at the Tompkins Library (104 Courthouse Square) to raise money for Willowbrook and Eastview Cemeteries. Mr. Lee Burton of Battery Street Books, in Columbia, will be selling interesting and unique books at the Tompkins Library as well. Come celebrate the new blacksmith and spend the day in Edgefield!
